About Jard snake usefulness

Farmer and nature's friend Darash Snake in our country. The name of the snake is known as Darash, but its scientific name is Jard Snake. The rat is the main food of the Jard snake. There are one snake is enough to eliminate the rate for the three acre of land.

The rats destroy every year 30 percent of the produced foods from seedbed to food-grains. But if you have a jard snake you can protect the food grains by eating rats. t is unfortunate that the Government does not have any active for protecting this kind of snake from the environment.

কৃষক ও প্রকৃতির বন্ধু দাঁড়াশ সাপ আমাদের দেশে এ সাপের নাম দাঁড়াশ হিসেবে পরিচিতি থাকলেও এর ইংরেজি নাম র্যাট স্নেক।  এই র্যাট স্নেকের প্রধান খাদ্য হচ্ছে ইঁদুর। 'তিন একর জমির ইঁদুর নির্মূল করতে একটি র্যাট স্নেকই যথেষ্ট। প্রতিবছর বীজতলা থেকে শুরু করে খাদ্যগুদাম পর্যন্ত ইঁদুরে বিনষ্ট করে উৎপাদিত খাদ্যশস্যের ৩০ শতাংশ। অথচ এ সাপটি থাকলে ইঁদুর খেয়ে খাদ্যশস্য রক্ষা করতে পারবে। প্রতিবছর ইঁদুর দমন অভিযানের মাধ্যমে অর্থ ব্যয় করা হলেও দুঃখজনক হচ্ছে পরিবেশবান্ধব এ ধরনের নির্বিষ সাপ রক্ষায় সরকারের তেমন কোনো ভূমিকা নেই।'
